Friends

This last weekend of the holidays we had to clean up a little bit, because of our vacation trip to the south-island. Then we prepared the food for the dinner. We made some very nice Kiwi salad, but it takes some time to do all the cutting. Afterwards we met with friends and had a lovely BBQ together. May and Manuela do and did their horse riding at their place. It was a long and beautiful evening. On sunday we had a very quiet time. That was very good in preparation for the first school Read more [...]

Motueka to Waikawa Beach

So, now I complete the English travel description. We spent a beautiful time in Motueka. This is the last spot, before we're moving to our house in Waikawa Beach. Therefor we decided to rest a little bit, after so many impressions from the country. The children were exhausted and at this excellent campsite we really enjoyed the stay. The kids had enough to play, the swimming pool was very good, they got other kids to play with. And we took the opportunity to visit the Abel Tasman Nationalpark. Read more [...]

Dannevirke to Motueka

Although we already did that trip, I will summarize the events. Dannevirke was a very quite campsite right beside a small deer park. This has been different to all our other campsites, because there has been always water (lake or sea) nearby. In Dannevirke we had neither of them. But we have had birds. And lots of them. Like in Hastings we were woken up everymorning by birdsong. The campsite was perfect for us. We have very good facilities and we met a lot of very friendly people there. We Read more [...]

Gisborne to Hastings

My dear english speaking friends, I will update you a little bit of our journey so far. We have been told, if we ever get to Gisborne, we should give Frank a call. Frank is a surf teacher and teaches beginners how to surf. The weather in Gisborne was beautiful, so we called Frank. None of us has ever been on a surfboard. But that's so much fun, I never thought it would be that much of fun. In the end we surfed two whole days and were totally exhausted afterwards. The third day we did Read more [...]

Ohope to Gisborne and in between

Ohope - Gisborne From the the rainy city of Rotorua we went to Ohope. And we had the best weather ever. With a lot of sunshine for 4 days we really relaxed and enjoyed the sun and the beach. Two days we did nothing else than sitting at the beach, go for a swim and get roasted by the sun. Then we decided to do another adventure. White Island! A real volcano. Even it is the most expensive adventure we decide to do, we loved it. We started from Whakatane with a long boat trip over open water Read more [...]
